Due to complications with the old provider SWAY has decided to use a new mailing list service. This new company also allows the band the opportunity to keep their fans up to date with text message announcements as well as traditional e-mail! Since the last charity show in Ypsilanti for Seedlings was such a success, the boys have teamed up with the Allen Park Applebee's to bring you another FREE, ALL AGES show on Tuesday October 30th. Teaming up with Applebee's the boys hope to help raise over $1,000 on the night included in that is a number of servers will be donating 50% of their tips from the evening! 07.01.07 - NEW SHOW ADDED
SWAY will be performing a charity show at the Ypsilanti Applebee's on Wednesday July 18th. The cause for the show is a charity called Seedlings. Seedlings provides braille books to children who can't see. You can read more about the cause by visiting seedlings.org. Admission is free but our goal is to raise $500 from the concert!! This will be the first show from tyhe boys in a while and your first look at new band member Ivan Graham!
06.28.07 - MEET MR. GRAHAM
There is a new face among SWAY these days and his name is Ivan Graham. Ivan, 33, is originally from Malaga, Spain but moved to the states with his parents when he was twelve years old. After attending college back in Spain, Ivan returned to the U.S. to find permanent residence in Michigan in 2003. Ivan picked up his first guitar at the young age of six when he began taking classical guitar lessons. While formally trained in classical music he lists classic rock as his main influences in personal style. "I grew up listening to AC/DC, Skid Row and Dream Theater," he says "but I also like to play modern rock such as Hinder and Nickelback." A sound that will surely compliment the music that SWAY fans have come to recognize. "I love the diversity of everyone in the band and especially Dan's voice, it's unlike anything out there right now. Plus I've never played in a band with a keyboard and I'm excited about all the possibilities that it allows us to explore!" Ivan is currently working with the band on a few new tunes in the studio right now and you'll be able to get your first glimpse of him July 18th when the band plays at the Ypsilanti Applebee's. The boys are all mutually excited about the addition of Ivan to the band and we look forward to the next chapter in the SWAY journey!
05.20.07 - STUDIO UPDATE
Things are progressing nicely right now in the studio for the guys. They are working on two new songs right now to add to the four other's previously recorded. There will be a special guest recording with the guys and more details will be announced later. SWAY is again working with Nick Morris of Cloud City Studios in Redford. Nick recorded the bands first album as well as the four demos on the website.
04.05.07 - SOME TIME OFF
So the guys have decided to take some much needed time off so they can concentrate on getting back into the studio to continue work on their upcoming album due out in late winter. Have no fear though cause the stage will come calling soon!
On a more somber note, SWAY has decided to part ways with guitarist Issac Pacheco. Over the past few years Issac has helped to add a unique touch to the bands sound and image and will truly be missed. We sincerely wish him nothing but the best of luck in whatever future endeavours he chooses and want to say "thank you" for everything that he's helped the band accomplish.

What an amazing year it has been for everyone of the band. SWAY has accomplished some awesome feats this year which wouldn't be possible without the support of all of you fans. The guys wanted to take a moment to look back at this last year and say THANK YOU to each and everyone of you who have purchased a cd, downloaded the iTunes, listened to any of the songs, came to a show, told a friend about the band, bought the guys a drink, purchased merchandise, joined the mailing list, made friends with the band on MySpace or simply checked out the website! Hopefully everyone has had as much fun as the guys have this past year and they're anticipating an even bigger 2007!

10.24.06 - NEW SHOWS & ENDEAVOURS
After an awesome performance at TC’s Speakeasy in Ypsilanti recently the club has asked the band to perform exclusively at their venue! So until further updates, the only place you can catch SWAY at in Ypsi is TC’s Speakeasy. The entire band agrees that there is no better place in Ypsi for live music and everyone is excited about the agreement. The boys will make regular appearances there about every eight weeks in hopes of building a steady fan base. TC’s is normally a twenty-one and up venue but will continue to allow the SWAY shows to stay eighteen and older. In other news, the band will make their first ever appearance on the campus of Central Michigan University during the first weekend of November as they join longtime friends Liquid Reality and One More August for one amazing lineup at Rubbles. The following Tuesday SWAY heads back to Ann Arbor with Liquid Reality for a show at the Blind Pig. The Blind Pig concert is ALL AGES and will be the first time the band has headlined the world famous venue!! Get details for both performances on the SHOWS page. The guys are gonna need everyone’s support at these shows so tell a friend and pass the word and come on out for what’s always a good time getting’ SWAYed!
09.08.06 - NEW MUSIC AND PICS
Well some of the new music you've been waiting for has finally arrived! Four new tracks (Horizon, Melody's Piano Dreams, Sun Or The Stars and Uppidy) are the same blend of rock and pop that fans have come to enjoy and the band insists it's some of their best work yet! The new songs can be listened to online through our website as well as on our MySpace page and will be combined with eight more songs to make a full length album scheduled for an early 2007 release. The music was again recorded at Cloud City Studios and produced by Greg Richards, but this time was mastered by Euponic Mastering in Memphis, TN who have worked with the likes of ZZ Top, Evanescence, Sister Hazel and Nine Days to name a few. Check them out and leave a MySpace comment letting the guys know what you think!! Also the pictures from the new photo shoot are making their way online now. There are a few on our MySpace page as well as a dozen in the pictures section of the website. There are also brand new backgrounds, myspace contact tables and AIM buddy icons are all available for download!
08.20.06 - DOWNLOAD SMALL'S LIVE
The concert recording from Small's Bar is now available for download on the MUSIC page! The set list included some songs from Still... that you've grown to love as well as five brand new songs!! We apologize for the first song being cut off, the sound guy said to start but didn't press the record button. So the first two lines of Uppidy are missing but the studio recording is almost complete, so you'll be able to hear them soon! There are two options for downloading the show: The first is to download the complete show as one continuous file or the second is to download individual songs to make your own cd of the show track by track. In order to save each file you'll need to right click the song you want and then select "save as" or "save link as". If you just click the song you'll be able to hear it streaming, but it won't download the file. We've also put some of the live songs on our MySpace page so you can add them to your page! We apologize for the "Hot Karl" reference during the intro of Melody's Piano Dreams...if you were there you'll understand, if not ask Issac about his new belt!
08.16.06 - SWAY HITS 10,000 PLAYS
On Wednesday night the MySpace song counter clicked past 10,000 plays! We want to say thank you so much to everyone who has added the songs to their page and shared it with their friends! If you haven't added SWAY as a friend on MySpace we hope you'll do so! The new music will be out soon so keep checking the MySpace page as we click our way towards 20,000 plays!
08.07.06 - THE POWER OF IV
WDIV Channel 4 news put the call out to local artists to develop a new "Power of 4" theme song and SWAY accepted the challenge by creating their first ever music video!! But now we need your help: WDIV has put all the video's online and is giving viewers the chance to vote for their favorite song to be named the next theme for Channel 4. So we need everyone to head over and vote for SWAY's song to become the next WDIV theme! Click here to go to the band's video complete with lyrics. The voting survey is on the same page. Pat singlehandedly filmed, edited and produced the entire video and we think that you're going to enjoy all his hard work! The winner of the song search will be featured in a professionally made Local 4 music video and perform during Chrysler's Arts, Beats and Eats in downtown Pontiac on Labor Day weekend. 07.24.06 - SWAY LIVE RECORDING
On the heels of a rocking performance at MJ's Nickel on July 22nd, the boys are gearing up to record a live album at their next show! A couple tracks off this live show will be placed as bonus tracks on the new album due out early next year. The show is at Small's in Hamtramck on Saturday, August 19th at 10:00 p.m. and is ages 18 and up. As well as a live recording the bands One More August and The Dins will be supporting SWAY that evening. As a special gift to our fans, everyone that comes out to our live recording will also receive their very own copy of the show!! Since everyone keeps telling us that we sound so much better live, here is your chance to take home some live versions of songs from the first cd as well as get your hands on some of the new music. 06.05.06 - BACK TO THE STUDIO
SWAY heads back in the studio to begin work on their second studio album this week. They are teaming up with Cloud City Studios once again, the same studio they used to record their first album. The new album will be the first for bass player Nate Ennis and will feature a special guest musician on one of the tracks. Once the songs are finished they will be posted on the website and made available on the bands MySpace page!
05.23.06 - PISTONS PARTY CONCERT
If you were planning on watching the Pistons crush the Miami Heat on Saturday then make plans to come on out to MJ's Nickel at 8:00 to watch the game. After the beating is over we'll be rocking the place out all night long! If a Pistons "W" wasn't enough we'll be debuting some new material that we are going in the sudio soon to record. April 27th will mark the second straight benefit show for the band, this time at Tequila Rain in Novi's fountain-walk. AM 1270 will be hosting the 28-hour live Radio-A-Thon to benefit cancer research and there will be a ton of things to do: karaokee, a silent auction, bowling at Lucky's, free PSA screenings, Piston's and Tiger's players, a mechanical bull riding contest and much more. On Thursday March 30th at 1:00 p.m. SWAY will be in WUMD's studios to continue the promotion of Still... and to help build up the University of Michigan Dearborn's first annual Dance-A-Thon that the band will be playing at the next night. The Dance-A-Thon is being put together to culminate Sorority Greek Week and raise money for the Special Olympics. WUMD is a web based radio station so the only way to hear it is to tune in live on the internet by clicking here on the 30th!

02.22.06 - GOIN' NATIONWIDE
With the official release of SWAY's first single Lady Yeah, it's time to take this country by storm and the band is off to a great start after being added to close to a dozen radio stations across the country this week! People everywhere from Los Angeles to Connecticut and everywhere in between will now be able to get their dose of SWAY on local radio. We need everyone's help though calling and e-mailing them.. asking for SWAY and getting them to play the cd. The more calls the more spins and the more people will love the band!
02.6.06 - INTRODUCING SWAY'S NEWEST MEMBER
If you were wondering who the new face was in SWAY these days then let us take a moment to introduce you to bass player Nate Ennis. Nate, 23, hails from Milwaukee, WI and is an eight year veteren of the bass guitar. His former band was mainly in the heavy metal vein but lists his influences among the jazz and blues genre's, which should mesh perfectly with the swagger and style that is SWAY. Nate played a handful of songs at the bands last show on the 4th at MJ's Nickel where he was officially introduced and will be playing bass on all songs from here on out. Nate is a much welcomed member of SWAY and another stepping stone in the quest for greatness!

The first single from SWAY's debut cd Still... has officially landed on select radio stations and we need your help getting it played! On the FANS section of the website is a complete listing of all the radio stations that have the single and we need everyone of you to call and request Lady Yeah as often as possible!! If you were at the Aubree's/Sticks Tour For Tots Show you might have heard Tim mention that SWAY was getting added to the digital jukebox? Well it is now official that Still... is on all Ecast digital jukeboxes. Just go into the "download" section of the jukebox and search for SWAY and it will bring up the cd and then you can pick any of the songs off the album to listen to!! So far we only know of Aubree's/Sticks in Depot Town that has an ecast jukebox but we are sure there are many more so if you know of any other locations that have it e-mail us so we can add it to the list on the FANS page for everyone.

12.14.05 - WHAT A FINISH
First of all, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated toys for our "Tour For Tots" shows! Together we raised a grand total of 507 toys for the program!! It is great to see that there are still so many of you out there that care and want to help others, and amazingly we can't even begin to count the number of people who brought in ten, twelve or even more toys...some bringing that many for more than one show! Congratulations to all who won raffle items and another big thank you to everyone who donated prizes to be raffled off: Applebee's, Aubree's, Hungry Howie's, Blockbuster Video, Outback Steakhouse, Fantastic Sams, Mammoth Video, Elite Tanning, Inspirations, The Detroit Pistons, & AM1270. If you were there Wednesday night, you can probably say this was one of, if not the best show of the year. Thanks to those battled the snow and drove long distances to be with us there isn't enough space to type "Thank You" enough! 11.26.05 - GIVING BACK
3 nights and 3 concerts with 1 goal: Raise 500 toys for the Toys For Tots program! On December 12th, 13th & 14th SWAY will be performing free shows each night in an effort to raise 500 brand new toys for families with children less fortunate than we are. Each night will be in new location which are the Ypsilanti Applebee's, Belleville Applebee's and Aubree's/Stick's in Depot Town. The goal of 500 toys isn't something that will be accomplished without help so we need everyone of you to tell everyone you know to come out to the shows and donate a toy to the benefit. Toys will be accepted all day the day of the shows, so if you can't make it to the concert you can still drop a toy off and have it count towards the goal. Currently the ring tones are only supported by the following service providers: AT&T, Cingular, Sprint PCS/Nextel and T-Mobile. If you have another carrier we've been told that they will be available soon, but we've not been told when exactly. 10.26.05 - GOOD TIMES
"Promotions 101" was what we were calling the fall tour and the goal was to do just that...get the music to as many people as possible. After a grueling schedule, the tour is finally winding down with a few more shows before the band hangs it up for the holidays. SWAY was exposed to bunch of new people from all walks of life and nothing but good things were being said at each and every show. A whole new market will be exposed to the music in January as the band hooks up with Paris Delane in Chicago for a week long tour of the windy city. Afterwards it's back to Michigan to start the year off on the right foot with the official spring tour kick off party scheduled for Saturday, February 11th at MJ's Wooden Nickel in Ypsilanti. To all the fans that have come along on our journey we give you many thanks and we want to welcome all the new fans that have joined us! 09.28.05 - ROCKIN' IT OUT
"Well it's a pretty good day and I'm looking forward to tomorrow. We've had a pretty good day, yeah!" Ain't that the truth! The Blind Pig was by far the best show that SWAY has played. It couldn't have been that way without the other two amazing acts that played the evening with them. LUCE and Paris Delane blew away everyone there, you can bet SWAY will be playing some more shows with these guys real soon! Many thanks to all the fans who came out to see it, YOU ALL ROCK!!! Make sure to mark your calendar's for Monday, September 26th at 4:00 as SWAY will be live in studio with Chris & The D-Machine discussing their music, the current tour schedule and playing a few acoustic songs in studio. 09.12.05 - FIRST ROAD TRIP...
4th Platooooon!! The Army's 4th Platoon was on hand in Jackson to help make the first road trip a successful one! Big thanks to Chris for bringing his squad out to the show on Saturday in Jackson. Not only do we thank you for your support of our music but thanks for continuing to fight the fight to keep our country free!! You guys rock! The Bone Fish Bar & Grille played host to the very first headlining show outside of the Ann Arbor area. The band played a great show and sold some more of their debut cd's! The boys are back home now getting ready for the biggest "Back To School Bash" that the city of Ypsilanti has ever seen: Thursday, Sep 15th - 9:00 - TC's Speakeasy... Be there!
09.6.05 - IT KEEPS GETTING BETTER
September is already a jam packed month, but passing up the opportunity to play the Blind Pig just feels wrong! So on September 28th SWAY will open for San Francisco based national touring act LUCE and Chicago based act Paris Delane. LUCE's breakout smash "Good Day" was featured on the 13 Going On 30 and How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days soundtracks and has been heard on The O.C. and Alias! No doubt you've heard the song too and it'll strike one of those "Oh yeah!" responses once you hear it again. Tickets are available through TicketMaster and at the Blind Pig. Can't wait to see everyone out there!
"I could name you a hundred big name bands right now and these guys are so much better than any of them. I've seen so many bands come through here and this band is one of the best. They were awesome tonight, f@%$ing amazing!" Those were the enthusiastic words of Paycheck's owner Zbigniew Malkiewicz, known simply as "Paycheck" by everyone around town. Guess it's easy to say that SWAY made at least one new fan this weekend! Thanks to everyone who came out to both shows this past weekend, and now we get ready for a road trip on Saturday. Mitch's Bar in Jackson is the next stop on the fall schedule. Show starts at 8:00 and SWAY'll be playing all evening. Admission is free and if Sunday was any sort of a warm-up then Saturday is going to blow everyone away! We'll see ya there!!
Well fans the time for the fall tour has arrived. Starting this Friday, September 2nd, SWAY will start playing weekly (sometimes even more) concerts for the next two months, and this is where we need all of you! We need to get the word out to as many people as humanly possible. Friends, family, co-workers, that cute cashier at Meijer...whoever will listen to you talk to them about SWAY! We need you to help us pass out fliers, put up posters, sell merchandise and straight up bug the hell out of every radio station to play SWAY's music! We have some great stuff for you to compensate your efforts, but ya gotta get involved to get them!! So the first step is to become a member of our FANCLUB and the welcome e-mail will have all the details about how to be a member of the SWAY Street Team. So go to the fanclub, sign up, hit the streets, get some stuff and listen to some great music! If you don't want to be a member of the street team then hit up the schedule page and come on out to as many shows as you can and bring everyone you can think of!! So much has been going on with SWAY and it just keeps getting more exciting! The band had their very first radio play in July on WHFR when they debuted the song "Not The Best Feeling". 07.28.05 - IT ALL COMES TOGETHER
"The best show I've ever seen them play," was how one fan summed up the cd release party. After an interesting start to the evening, SWAY pulled together an incredible show that had people singing along and smiling their whole set. The show introduced the cover of "Bright Lights" to the act and Issac rocked out the guitar solo to the tune of many screaming fans. Quite a few cd's were sold and a number of the headliner's fans purchased them as well! All in all it was a show to write home about and it can only get better from here. The fall/winter schedule is beginning to take shape and a showcase with WRIF is set to take place in September. If you haven't yet, make sure you pick up a copy of "Still..." available online at our STORE. Thanks to all of our fans who made it out to the show, your support means more than we can say. 07.14.05 - A LOT TO BE PROUD OF
The boys of SWAY have been busier than ever gearing up for the release of their debut cd "Still...". A lot has been accomplished in the last month that has said a lot about the direction the band is going in. While the cd's are being manufactured, a completely new live show is being practiced with a few suprises that makes this tour a don't miss. On top of the show preperation, SWAYED the official fanclub of the band was launched at the beginning of July. Check out the SWAYED page for more details. There's also a new message board where you can interact with other SWAYED members! Also launched was the band's official store featuring t-shirts, posters, mugs and more. You can also pick up Still... online as well. Head on over to the STORE and buy some stuff! And to top it all off, the fall TOUR is coming together quite nicely as more dates are being added almost weekly. Be sure to check back often and see where they'll be next. It's been a busy month, but this is only the start of what promises to be a successful endevour!!
06.19.05 - 2 FOR THE PRICE OF 1
After much anticipation a dual cd release party is set for Thursday, July 28th at 8:00 p.m. at 5th Avenue Downtown which is located in Comerica Park. SWAY will be performing a full set including songs off the new album entitled "Still...". And if you thought one cd was enough...try TWO! That's right, national pop artist and Detroit native Justine Blazer is releasing her cd entitled "Passion In Me" and performing on the same night! 06.08.05 - TAKE SWAY HOME
Finally, after a long and strenuous process the new cd, titled "Still...", is finally complete! The final mix of the cd is done and now ready to be shipped off to the presses! The cd features eight new songs, which should be familiar favorites to fans who have been to any of the recent concerts, and will be available soon. Check out the MUSIC page for lyrics and sound clips, while sneak previews of the songs are available at the Garageband.com and MySpace.com pages. Look for the cd release party date and the full summer schedule on the schedule page.
05.29.05 - VOTE FOR SWAY
You can hear SWAY's first single entitled Loop online at www.garageband.com. This website brings together smaller bands from around the world and gives artists the ability to share music and reviews with each other. It also has a music chart that rates all the songs on the website. Log on and give it your rating and watch Loop climb the charts!
05.6.05 - FOR A CAUSE
SWAY will participate in AM 1270 The Sports Station's "Big Show Bowlathon" Battle of the Bands. The show will take place on Thursday May 12th sometime between 9:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. and will be carried live on the radio. The bowlathon is a 28 hour benefit to raise money for the Henry Ford Vattikuti Urology Institute. The evening will feature local celebrities and a silent auction.
05.2.05 - SWAY IN THE STUDIO
SWAY is now working with Cloud City Studios in Livonia to record the first full length LP to be released on GDR Records in early Summer. The cd will be released and accompanied by a full summer tour. Tour dates will be listed as soon as they are finalized.
4.30.05 - TIME FOR A CHANGE
After a renovation and management change, the Monroe Applebee's is ready for their Grand Re-Opening! SWAY will be on hand to help with the festivities by playing a three hour set that includes songs from the new yet to be named album along with some familiar old favorites.
04.22.05 - ALBUM TAKING SHAPE
While the studio is providing some setback, the promotional portion of the album is still being planned. Sunday May 15th will be the bands first ever promotional photo shoot. Tania Levesque Photography will be providing the images that will be used in the upcoming cd and for all the marketing material for the band. The exact location of the shoot isn't being disclosed, but it will take place somewhere in the metro area.
